Abkürzung CIMS, internationale Gesellschaft für Kirchenmusik mit Sitz in Rom; 1963 von Papst Paul VI. gegründet, dem Präfekten der Ritenkongregation (seit 1969 Kongregation für den Gottesdienst und die Sakramente) unterstehend. Die CIMS fördert die Zusammenarbeit aller Kirchenmusiker und führt internationale kirchenmusikalische Kongresse durch.
